As spoken by leadership guru Dr. John C. Maxwell, the art of mentoring is about practicing all functions of a leader in a single relationship. Mentoring is the first and last task of leadership. It is a positive, supportive relationship, encouraging and enabling someone to develop to their fullest potential. It begins with leading individuals, to reproducing one’s success in others.
The programme aims to provide practical and speedy handles to theoretical truths for selected leaders who intend to mentor in any area of their serving. There are handy insights and easy to use lists to implement that have been tested and proven over time. It also serves to lay the fundamental alignment of expectations for the mentoring relationship between mentor and mentee; through understanding definitions, team-based learning, and clear objectives.
