Chay is an Accredited Executive Coach & Assessor (International), Certified Solution-Focused Coach, Accredited ICF Coach, a Consultant with the Wealth Management Institute, a Senior Career Fellow with the Nanyang Business School (Nanyang Technological University), Developmental Coach with Singapore Institute of Technology and Mentor/Coach with National University of Singapore. He is also a Wealth Management Professional certified by the Institute of Banking & Finance.

Corporate Career

He has been a Wealth Management and Private Banking Professional for more than 25 years with top-tiered Financial Institutions & Private Banks. Prior to embarking on Executive & Career Coaching, he was a Managing Director with a Global Private Bank.

Sales Management

He managed markets within Asia & Southeast Asia, providing bespoke solutions for the High and Ultra High Net Worth Clients, formulating business, sales & performance strategies, managing teams of Private Bankers (Client Advisors, Relationship Managers).

Talent Management & People Development

During his career and as a hiring manager, he was always passionate about coaching, developing leaders and nurturing talents, ensuring high employee engagement, employee enablement, especially for next generation initiatives, newly appointed leaders, career pivoting professionals and high potential talents. He was also frequently involved in recruitment, assessment centres, learning & management associate developmental programmes.

As the Head of Marketing & Business Development for a Private Bank, he was instrumental in its marketing, communications, branding, intra-bank collaborations, client advocacy, sales & service standards, partnerships, philanthropy and corporate social responsibility etc Apart from managing Sales Teams locally, he was also responsible for the operations of the bank’s overseas Representative Offices, including management of the Chief Representatives, sales & support personnel, developing strategies for geographical coverage, industry sector initiatives & collaboration with the Regional Office & Local Business Units.

Last Five Years

Apart from Executive, Leadership Coaching and Career Coaching, he is a Consultant with the Wealth Management Institute, assessing and coaching Bankers in the Affluent, Private Banking, Wealth Management and Financial Advisors (Insurance). Chay has most recently been on the Board of a Global Educational Youth Movement (Global NGO) as the World Treasurer. He has been a volunteer in the NGO for the past 35 years, involved with leadership, educational and community development. He has held several national leadership appointments and active both regionally and globally. He is currently a Fellow of the Leadership Academy and Honorary Leader Trainer. For his services, he was also awarded the World’s Highest Honour of the Movement in 2022.
